See what our residents and their loved ones have to say about the care, community, and connection at Westminster Village of Kentuckiana.
I received the call that my beautiful wife of 62 years had passed. This was the call I had been expecting for days. I thanked God that she was among people, both staff and fellow residents, who loved both Sherry and me. We came here in April of 2025. For years we had fought the misery of Parkinson’s disease until we both were physically and emotionally exhausted and needed a helping hand. With great reluctance and with the help of our children we moved to a beautiful two bedroom apartment with a shaded patio. On our walls we displayed paintings created by one of God’s great artists. Nurses and certified nursing aids welcomed Sherry and me with open loving arms and never stopped hugging us until that long expected call. Today I continue to live my life at Westminster Village and intend to stay until I join Sherry in my father’s house. Here I am a part of a living vibrant community where I know my neighbors and greet them as we pass in the halls. Our activities center has actual activities that features games and visiting. Bingo anyone? Monday at two play cover all the big T for cash prizes. There are card games and lengthy chat groups. If you like music be our guests on almost any evening of the week when musical artists come to share country, gospel, and standards to a wonderful audience.
I moved here recently and pay half the rental fee charged by my previous residence, another senior living facility. The staff are readily available since their offices are located at the main entrance and social center. They are humble & always helpful. I also am appreciative of the pay as you use laundry service. The front desk is open until midnight something my previous expensive facility did not even have. There are at least 2 activities daily. I am very satisfied here.
